Navaratri Sloka Day 9

 Day 9

Bhattirakali, who raised from Eeswaran's forehead, after that she changed his face and became Chamundi.

 She wears an elephant skin dress with three heads and sixteen arms. The one who has power in the Sapta Kanni Mathrikas. She is in Black color. The one with the scary look. The one with the dead human body seat. He wears snakes on her body.

 If we worship her, she will protect us from the enemies and give us victory and strength to protect the property. She will give us all kinds of courage and victory.

Navaratri Sloka Day 8

Day 8

    In Hinduism, the powerful form of Parvati, the part of Lord Shiva is also considered to be the goddess Durga. Another form of Durga seated on a lion or tiger, with eight or ten arms, and is generally depicted as slaying a monster called Mahisasuran. Durga is also celebrated as the goddess of the desert (Paalai).

Day 7

        During Navratri day seven Goddess Saraswathi is worshipped. She is one of the principle goddesses in Hinduism. She also known as divine of Knowledge and Education. Goddess Saraswathi is portrayed as having a beautiful appearance, with four arms, dressed in white, seated on a white lotus, with holding the Veena in both front hands.

Color : Blue

Thithi : Sapthami

Kolam : Draw Rangoli by using fragrant flowers like Jasmine, Lilly.

Vrinji pathnyai sa Dheemahi

Day 6

     Indrani appeared to be an aspect of Indra. She wears glittering crown on his head and sits on top of the white elephant. She is also known as Mahendri and Iyndri Devi. She is worshipped for getting good spouse and property. She removes all fears about enemy and yaman.

      If chants the Indrani Gayatri mantra and worships Indrani, those who are not married will soon get married and have unity between husband and wife.

Day 4

Goddess Lakshmi is known goddess across Hinduism. Lakshmi means ‘Lakshya’ that is one’s goal. She leads devotees to get succeeds in their goals. She is considered as the goddess of wealth, beauty, joy, fortune, love and prosperity. She is represented as Thridevi with Goddess Saraswathi and Parvathy.

Kolam: Draw the shape of staircase Rangoli using atchadhai(Yellow rice)

Day 3:

Varahi has a very different look and more power among the Sapta Kanni Matrikas. Varahi Devi appeared as an aspect of God Perumal who restored the earth in the form of  “Varaha”. She is the one who possesses the combination of animal strength and divine nature. She carries a plow and a plunger in her back. She is in black color. She helps to defeat enemies and remove obstacles. It is the belief of the people that there will be no suffering for those who worship Varahi. In ancient times, kings used to worship Goddess Varahi to destroy and defeat their enemies before going to war.

Goddess Gaumari appeared to be an aspect of Murugan. So that she is brave and courageous. She is also known as Sashti, Devasena. She gives enthusiasm and undiminished youth to the devotees. We worship her to get rid of problem that related to house, land. She cures them who have heat related disease.

Day 1

Goddess Maheshwari is worshipped on day one of Navaratri. Goddess Maheshwari is wife of Lord Shiva and another name of Goddess Maheshwari is Parvati, Uma, Gauri. She is the daughter of the mountain king Himavan and queen Mena. She is Devine of power and Strength. So that she is also called as Shakthi.



Flower : Jasmine.

Neivedhyam (Special offering for God) : Pongal.

Color : yellow.

Thithi : Pradhamai.

kolam : Draw kolam using rice flour.

Raagam : Thodi Raagam.

Slokam :
