Sloka For Goddess Annapoorna


Annapoorne Sada Poorne,
Shankara Prana Vallabhe,
Jnana Vairagya Sidhyartham,
Bhiksham Dehi Cha Parvati.

அன்னபூர்ணே சதா பூர்ணே, 
சங்கர ப்ராண வல்லபே,
ஞானவைராக்ய சித்யர்த்தம், 
பிக்ஷாம் தேஹி ச பார்வதி.


Hey , Mother Annapurneswari,
Who is the darling of Shankara,
Please give me alms,
Of knowledge and renunciation,
For me forever.

Matha Cha Parvati Devi,
Pitha Devo Maheswaraha
Bhandava Shiva Bhaktas Cha,
Swadesho Bhuvana Trayam.

மாதா ச பார்வதி தேவி
 பிதா தேவோ மகேஸ்வரஹ :
பாந்தவ சிவபக்தாஸ் ச,
 ஸ்வதேசோ புவநத் த்ரயம்.


My mother is Goddess Parvati,
My father is God Maheswara,
My relations are the devotees of Shiva,
And my country is the universe.

       Goddess Annapoorna is the goddess of food. Anna means ‘Annam’ that is food and ‘Poorna’ means full and complete; together the name Annapoorna implies nourishing with food to the fullest. Food is one of the basic requirements in life of lives, and it is no wonder that we say 'Annam Brahma', food is God. Mata Annapoorna is avatar of Goddess Parvati who is the wife of Lord Shiva.

        Do not waste food; 'Annam Brahma', Food is God. You can eat till your hunger is appeased. There is nothing wrong in it. There are many who are starving. There are many who do not have enough food to eat. Therefore, you should not waste food. It is a sin to waste it.


        Chant this sloka daily to get blessings of Goddess Annapoorna for getting food and water without any disturbance till the end of the life. Chant this sloka before taking food also.

Sloka to Gain Financial Prosperity

Sri Mahalakshmi , the Hindu Goddess of wealthy and prosperity. Lakshmi Stuti is the prayer for Goddess Mahalakshmi and important stanza of kanagathara stotra to gain financial prosperity on our homes and lives.
